Thinking about scheduling your first dog walk or drop-in visit? Here’s how we start things off at Rex & Roxy Pet Care: with a free meet-and-greet that helps everyone feel confident and comfortable. It’s a relaxed visit where we take time to connect and learn about your pet, understand your expectations, and make sure we are equipped with the knowledge we need to deliver care you can trust.


Why We Offer a Free Meet & Greet


We believe trust is built in person. A meet-and-greet allows you to get to know us, walk through your pet’s routine, and ask questions before any services begin. It’s a chance for us to meet your pet, see how they respond to new people in their environment, and tailor our care to their unique personality and needs.


What Happens During the Visit


These visits are the first step in setting up safe, consistent, and individualized care for your pets. Plan for about 30 minutes for us to come to your home and meet your pet in their comfort zone. Here’s what we’ll typically cover:


  • Your pet’s routine and behavior


  • Their comfort level with new people and their temperament on walks


  • Any feeding, medications, specific walking routes, or special instructions


  • Home access and our procedures for maintaining the safety and security of your home


  • Location of key areas of the home: where harnesses and treats are, cleaning supplies, food, treats, and anything else necessary for us to provide the best care to your pet


  • Emergency information and veterinary contacts

We use industry-standard scheduling software with GPS-tracked walks, visit updates including pictures, and secure key storage protocols. The meet-and-greet helps us personalize our care and give you the chance to learn about our services and safety procedures.

Once your profile is complete with access details, personalized care instructions, and vaccine/veterinary information, you're ready to book! At the end of your meet-and-greet, we will schedule your first visit and show you how to access visit times, GPS-tracked updates, and message our team.
